A white metal badge of cast construction, measuring overall 37 x 25mm. The unit was originally the 2nd Madras Lancers becoming 27th Light Cavalry from 1903-22. In the Indian Army Order of Precedence the 16th Light Cavalry took 1st place after various Governors’ Bodyguards. RESERVED 9th June 2024
